I posted my latest painting above, it was to accompany a friend's article for a magazine. A larger version is in my portfolio.
In other news, I made some small updates to my Motion Reel. Take a look!
I added another piece of concept art to the Portfolio section; it's my take on a "Warrior Ant." Well, the more "bug" oriented of us might call it more of a "mite." Either way, it's not something you want to find in your respective picnic baskets.

When I was seven, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. My first thought of course was Han Solo, or if things don't work out perfectly, maybe Luke Skywalker. Then, realizing that outside of the Galactic Rebellion, potential for career advancement was pretty limited with those choices. Taking stock of all my marketable skills at the time, I was sure that anything involving math and spelling was out. What I really loved, besides recess, was to draw. It was clear to me what to say, "I want to be an Artist!" As any seven year-old must when they are on a roll, I elaborated, "and I want to make a million dollars, live in a mansion, and have steak for dinner EVERY night!"
Flash forward many years to the present day and I think my younger self would be proud of me - up to my neck in pixels and halftone dots, as I am.
Sure, there's no million dollars. My current residence is what is referred to in Real Estate circles as, "quaint," or a "charming fixer-up-er." And knowing what I do now about red meat, my intake might be a little disappointing to my younger self. But overall I've done pretty well for myself.
I've had the pleasure of working with interesting companies and brands such as Frog Design, SPIN magazine, and Alchemy Labs. I've tried to change the world with an international non-profit, AIESEC. I survived the start-up environment with Voxeo, run a small studio, and even designed for the legendary rock band KISS (long story).
Currently, I'm looking forward to joining a creative team where I share what I know and absorb what I can from other experts.
Failing that, I guess I'll fall back to plan "B" and become an intergalactic scoundrel.

Here's a couple of icons I was working on that didn't make the cut. So, now they are available to you free of charge!
I've been flooded with requests (3, one of which was from a Deposed Prince of Nigeria!) to make some of my work available as wallpaper. With that sort of demand, who am I to say no? Here's the first one in 2 sizes.
